PERRY MASON

Last night Bob and I watched Perry Mason. We hadn't seen that show for years. We used to watch it on a regular basis years ago. It was fun to try to figure out the puzzle, just like we used to.

A DAY IN DC

Bob and I spent a great day in DC yesterday. I think It was our first time to get out and do something since the holiday season began. It felt great to get out and get some fresh air, walk, see people. To view my story of the day go to my travel blog:

QUOTES I LIKE

Here are some quotes I saw in the March 2009 issue of Woman's Day Magazine:

"Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek." -- Barack Obama

"You really have to look inside yourself and find your own inner strength, and say, 'I'm proud of what I am and who I am.'" - Mariah Carey

"Each person must live their life as a model for others." -- Rosa Parks

"The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing." -- Albert Einstein

Daffodils

I saw the first signs of our daffodils the other day. That means that spring isn't TOO far away!

Newhart

I rented the first season of "Newhart" from Netflix.

I had forgotten how funny that show was. From the "do it all" brothers--Larry, Darryl and Darryl to Bob Newhart's sense of humor--and the crazy characters--George the handyman and Kirk--they were so funny.

There was one episode where "Dick" was depressed because the inn wasn't declared a historical landmark, so he was sitting in his office watching TV in the dark. "Joanna" came in and asked what he was doing and he said he was watching his favorite show. She turned the volume up and it was the theme song for the "The Bob Newhart Show." It was hilarious. But, of course, you have to be like Bob and I (my Bob) and remember "The Bob Newhart Show."

I enjoyed watching the DVD so much, I played it again.

iPod

Bob bought me my first iPod! And he bought me a docking station to go with it. You see, I have a terrible time getting music at work. I can get some radio staions either through Microsoft Media Player or through the Internet. The problem is I always lose the radio stations. I always get that "Page not found" message. It's very frustrating for me--I need to be able to hear music all day. I have CDs but it's a pain to have to keep stopping to change CDs all day.

So, Bob bought me the iPod and docking station and downloaded 4,000 songs to it. I still have enough memory to load movies and pictures to it if I want. The movies and pictures will be handy to have for travel--and of course, so will the music.

But, I am especially excited about it for work.

Thank you, Bob!
