A couple of weeks ago, me, Bob, Sarah and Keith went to Artfest 2009. It is held annually at Annmarie Gardens in Calvert, MD. We all bought some art. I bought another Betsey von Deele painting which isn't really isn't done in paint at all. She is a fiber artist and her paintings are actually done in fabric. The winter scene above is the one I bought this year. A few years ago I bought one of her beach scenes. The next 2 paintings I buy from her will be spring and fall.
We also bought a nice photograph of Venice, Italy and a water scene, done in soft colors. The paint is called egg tempura and they used it back in the Renaissance times. I love it. Those are the top 2 pictures.
Here is the website for Annmarie Gardens.

I see they made a musical of "Little House On The Prairie." This version stars Melissa Gilbert as "Ma." That should be interesting. I've never seen her sing before. I'm sure she'll do ok with that, but what I'm most curious about how they can pack all those stories into a 2 hour musical. How do they decide what to put in it and what to leave out. I'd be interested in seeing it to see how they do it.This Wednesday I start my digital photography class. I'm looking forward to that.
I've been taking an Italian class since the beginning of September and love that.
Some of my friends and I had lunch Saturday and then we went shopping to some of the local country and antique stores and a small Amish market. We had a great time.
